Two weeks is the longest I’ve ever slacked on sending a newsletter. Something about June threw me off. A lot of somethings did.
I went back to work on the 9th and discovered I don’t know how to work for a living anymore. Especially while wearing a mask. Breathing in my own carbon dioxide isn’t high on my list of priorities.
The good news? Now I’ve come down with a cold so I’m required to not go to work until I’ve been tested and cleared for Covid. Talk about mixed emotions - I don’t have to work but being sick is the trade-off.
HELLO again!
My schedule is wide open right now so let me clutter up your inbox with a newsletter!
June was also the month I took a lot of time out to cultivate new projects. My first love has always been travel writing and one of my favorite things about it is helping other travel writers with their craft.
It’s not for everyone but if you are or have ever thought about becoming a travel writer (lockdown can only last for so long) you may be interested in following along, so here are the goods.
I have nothing but years worth of free advice to give out.
Just Checked In is my new website. It’s being loaded up with tips and tricks of the trade of travel writing.
The newsletter that goes along with it is right here.
And now, we can laugh.
Because what’s the point in anything if we can’t laugh? Here are a few of my latest stories you may have missed and they’re all funny.
