It’s labor day weekend in Canada and the USA. We deserve to celebrate the labors we’ve put into our work, whether that work is our jobs or our writing, or both!
As I’ve done in the past with this newsletter, I want to do another “pay it forward” thing. It’s where writers respond with one link to a favorite article they’ve written. Then I’ll go ahead and share it in a Medium post at a later date.
What’s super cool is that now, there’s a Medium publication for this paying it forward movement. It’s called Top 3, and it was created by Daryl Bruce. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate each other by recognizing our favorite writers. You should check it out.
So if you have a favorite of your own, please respond to this email by September 6, with a link.
Now, on to my own favorite three articles I’ve written since the last newsletter.
This first one was one of the most fun things I’ve ever written, mainly because my mom is the unlikely star in the early days of dick pics. Who even knew men did this back in the day?
My Mom Got Dick Pics in the 70’s.
All you modern day men can just sit down now.
Here’s a humorous look at what our stages in life would be if we were robots, instead of humans. Everyone who’s read it so far, seems to agree most with the teenage stage. This one was also my first submission into Hank Eng’s Metaphorically publication.
Life-bots.
All the bots we’re slated to be during a lifetime.
And my last share for the week was my latest submission for PS: I Love You, which is a fantastic publication. They also have a partnership with Medium so they can curate you right off the bat, if you’re accepted.
This article was written from a place of self love. The things I’m so critical of about myself are the same things I have so much respect for in others. Funny how that works huh?
Why Am I Always So Surprised?
Apparently, my face needs deliverance.
Thank you for reading and being a subscriber. Remember to take a load off this labor day weekend, and enjoy yourself! I’ll be thinking of you while I’m at work all weekend. UGH.
