When I started this newsletter I never intended it to be about self promotion because who likes tooting their own horn? I don’t.
But I’ve signed up for multiple Medium writers’ newsletters and it seems self promotion is a thing. And I don’t hate it, I see it as a courtesy. A nudge toward the content that some of my favorite writers have put out. Indeed I miss a lot, so I appreciate the reminders.
**Kathryn, I’m talking about you and your Burlesque article, which I adored!
I recently read a quote that says:
“Vulnerability is the birthplace of creativity and change.”
A lot of my writing lately seems to be in the form of admissions and confessions. This makes me feel vulnerable but it also inspires me to create and make changes for the better.
So, without further delay, here are some things that have passed through my keyboard lately.
Admitting to a massive business failure was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever written about. But as I wrote, it naturally morphed into a positive outcome. I learned.
Change Your Approach a Thousand Times.
But never change your end goal.
I went on a date that was far outside of my norm, culturally and age-wise. He was very young compared to my 46-year-old self. This article was me, working up to what turned into an amazing interaction.
Would You Date Outside Your Norm?
When the face doesn’t give away the race.
This may or may not have been me, after the previous interaction. Just kidding. Or am I? Sometimes I just get inspired to recall past events that have left positive impressions in my life.
To Be Desired.
It’s a lustful existence.
I revisited my travel publication after a bit of hiatus, and wrote about a couple of times I’ve had personal butlers in my travel career. This story humanizes the “servant” aspect of the butler life, and let me tell you - breaking butlers is far more amusing than breaking bad!
Breaking Butlers.
Making the servant life more human.
Thanks for reading, and happy weekend to you all!
