I have 94 of you on my list and I’m genuinely concerned for each of you during these tough times. Jobs are suffering, Medium is suffering (in case you haven’t noticed), and our spirits are probably a little down.
We may be in for a rough ride.
I went to work last night and it was a literal ghost town. I supervise a restaurant inside a private athletic club, but the club has restricted certain access privileges to its members, meaning no one is bothering to show up.
I don’t know why we’re even open but I’m trying to practice gratitude for the very few hours I’m fortunate to have. I spoke to a man just the other day who told me his company sent 5500 people home. Scary times indeed.
As a supevisor, part of my job is cutting everyone else’s hours and it doesn’t feel good. Each new day, I have to contact my staff and tell them not to come to work. This leaves me at work alone, with just kitchen staff.

Just know I’m thinking of everyone and I hope this all passes sooner rather than later. Some of us may not be able to wait until later. I sincerely hope my landlord will! #RENT
Stay safe, stay sanitary, and take it one day at a time!

I work in the security field and am considered essential b/c my job involves the defense industry. As soon as the millions start rolling in from the wit and wisdom embedded in my articles, I will permanently retire and mentor the occasional sycophant on how to be successful in writing.
Reporting from Seattle I am retired with a compromised immune system and my husband is able to work from home . My 93 year old mother in law lives alone and thinks all of this is a hoax. We are isolating from the grandkids who are out of school and need care and I feel helpless to support them but these are not snow days. I am continuing to work on my novel.
