In last week’s newsletter, I dropped a breadcrumb and I know you’re all dying to know what happened that day. (Nobody’s dying to know but make-belief is amusing)
Shortly after I sent out the newsletter I went to a one-on-one meeting at my job. You know, the place I hadn’t seen the inside of in four whole months due to our third city lockdown.
My suspicions about the meeting were correct. I am no longer an employee of anywhere.
I’m now jobless and thanking my lucky stars that I’m Canadian because I’ll be okay. We have a great social system here - one that I intend to milk because I’ve been paying into it for 30+ years.
The truth is that I can’t remember ever feeling this free. Not even when I was galivanting around Jamaica living my best life for 15 years. Weird right? I lived a dizzying dream for one-third of my life and I have never felt freer than I do now.
I wonder why that is?
Maybe it’s the thought that I don’t have to do the same damn thing for the rest of my life. That’s only fun when you’re in Jamaica.
On my travel Twitter page this morning, I posted the following tweet because I thought it would be fun to hear what people have to say.
“If you could only go to ONE destination for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?”
Now I’m asking you the same question because I’m curious. There are a couple hundred of you here and learning more about what inspires each of you is fun for me.
And if you’re interested in the paranormal……
ONE Thing For the Rest of Your Life
Of the places I've visited? Hmmm. Puerto Rico.
Here. Now. Why? Because all the memories of where I've been on Earth are all up in my head! But I will leave a tip: Plitvice in Croatia is one of the most heaven-like places that could ever be under one's feet.
